My excel file for speed based on gear ratios

I made an excel file that takes gear ratios, final drive ratios and tire size to calculate what speed you are at a given rpm.

    File:

My tire diameter is bigger than stock. I think stock is like 23.2. You can get the diameter by plugging your tire size into the miata tire calculator (http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html).

When the excel file loads, GR260 ratios are on the left, ZF are on the right. If you want other transmissions, go here: http://e30performance.info/viewtopic...&t=941&p=28445

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

Nice work. I made something similar, but a bit less complicated:

The numbers that are in it are for an MGB, but you can change all the parameters. It also tells you what percentage your speedo is off like the Miata calculator.

why not share the file? :)

-just a nit pick, but the ix uses a planetary gear to split torque, not the VC. the VC is a slip limiting device (there are AWD systems that use a VC to split torque, and they suck).

here is a web based calculator a friend put together for one of his fiero sites. If someone wants to host it he has said he is more than happy to make a BMW transmission specific version.

This is the official website for the Georgia Fiero Club. We specialize in helping other people with Fieros, organizing Fiero-related events, etc.
