no you cannot use stock pistons, that e30 zone wiki is wrong, you will need custom pistons with a different compression height ( height distance from pin centre to top of piston) to compensate for the...

i dont see how it snake oil, they atleast state what it flows and there is nothing suggest it isnt what is stated in the ad...

less likely to crack, but more coreshift so you can run in trouble porting to the max but this head in the OP isnt ported to the max. i would start with a bmw cast 885 for porting to the max. IIRC Rama...

They don’t provide them because they don’t have a flow bench. I do know people/customers who have had them flowed by a 3rd party...

I wouldn’t agree with that if you’re after a high end ported head neither would be considered to fit that category but the ppf while bare seems a better option than the BH touring.

roughly hp potential = 1.65 x cfm (for a 6 cyl based on 2.2hp per cfm for a v8)
so stock head taps out at 275bhp (220-230whp) and ported 355bhp (293 to 302whp) assuming 15-17.5% drivertrain....

The as delivered AMC head flows like dogshit so that is a good improvement over that. However compared to a stock bmw cast 885 it is a very modest improvement on the inlet side given +1mm valves and seems...

This is the head that TK did for mine but with a better valve shape than what they were when TK flowed it. i never really liked the valves i got from VAC that i supplied to Tony so i changed them out...

TK (Tony Knight) Knight Engines is in South Australia so even for me like 1,000km. Rama (RHD) has a digitised port that is very good (need to ship a good checked core) and Grooty also does porting and...

I would do +2mm 44mm Inlet stock 36 exhaust. There is no need for +1 exhaust valve
do you have a build thread.? Most ported heads are no better than stock. I bought one from a well known...

I’m going by dyno dynamics (most common around these parts) 250rwhp vs 300bhp which is 17%
haven’t directly seen a 300bhp dyno but I will dig out records and by extension its very doable....Last edited by digger; 04-11-2024, 04:30 AM.

Yeah it’s pointless using bigger valves without machining the throat to suit and also blending to the bowl and reprofiling the short side etc
you don’t need a roller rocker setup as the...Last edited by digger; 04-10-2024, 02:19 PM.

It adds unknowns when comparing against roller dyno that provide whp readings and roller dyno that measure whp and do a coastdown correction to bhp like done in most of Europe. You would think that they...

Hub dynos just add another unkown variable and are a waste of time on a NA m20 as there are no traction issues on the roller therefore the extra labour cost is a mostly a waste IMO

300bhp is probably 350rwhp depending on dyno in question.
Are you referring to a streetable m20 engine or m20 in general? For radical valve train I’m referring to cam duration. The roller...
