I know that many would recommend using the 2.9 IE Mahle stroker pistons with the m52 crank, but a friend offered me a free s52 crank in good condition. From my research, it seems as if the S52 would make for a 3.0l, and I could use stock m20b25 pistons. Is that correct? if so, what rods would I need to use?

no you cannot use stock pistons, that e30 zone wiki is wrong, you will need custom pistons with a different compression height ( height distance from pin centre to top of piston) to compensate for the longer stroke otherwise the piston will come out the top of the block too farI know that many would recommend using the 2.9 IE Mahle stroker pistons with the m52 crank, but a friend offered me a free s52 crank in good condition.
