I'm also glad about not gutting the 325is. Not sure that you're going to get the full benefit of the M3 without the front suspension. That said there are more aftermarket options than ever. MRT DTM front... -
I like the left side because you don't need to do a bunch of ratchet action to get the clamp off, Although if the angle of that tab is wrong I could see it pop off like you're saying.

Sounds like it's time for Aluminum Monster 2: N52 Boogaloo
I appreciate this.
I think K-series turbo or B38/48 (for the purists/less mainstream) would...Last edited by Northern; Yesterday, 05:16 AM.Leave a comment:

It will bolt to the M52 manifold directly. If you have an M50 manifold, you'll need to make some small tabs to mount it.
It uses quick release fuel connectors. I tried to flare mine for hose clamps...Leave a comment:

A few things from the last page.
No idea who Redux is, but they carry a lot of parts from others and claim they're their own. The ITBs and their flywheels are made by RHD (Racehead Engineering)...👍 1Leave a comment:

Brings back memories of buying cheap vbands for various exhaust/downpipe stuff. Realized 3" is more of a range than an actual measurement and nothing every plays nicely together lol.

I mean, no reason why you can't reuse most of it either way (stainless or not, if it works it works.). If you're going to turbo it down the road, you should be able to reuse everything aft of the firewall....Leave a comment:

Hot take on backpurging stainless... not worth the argon unless it's upstream of a turbo.
Welds will still be plenty strong for an exhaust system. Nobody is ever going to see the sugaring,...Leave a comment:

I wasn't planning to buy pistons, but that Mahle set sounds like a pretty decent S52 overbore and they're 9.0:1 (I think?) so would be decent for a turbo setup.
Not sure if you're keeping them or...Leave a comment:

Same gurl.
Not that there's any Automotive sector work around here anyway, but when I did FSAE, some of the old Pittsburg team members were working for Ford and talking about how they basically...Leave a comment:
