Did any E30's come with black carpet?

A lot of people wonder if black carpet is available for the E30. The answer is no. The darkest color available was a dark charcoal grey.

I thought I would add that the best and easiest way to get black carpet is to dye stock carpet because carpet kits are hard to find for the E30 and they rarely fit well.

I've never come across an E30 with black carpet. Black interior yes, but not carpet, how hard it it to remove the head liner, and carpet ?

I bought the car and the carpet was that bad.. hence why I replaced it.

Yeah. That isn't a OEM carpet though, nor was it originally equiped from the factory.. which is what this thread is about. Not what is available from JC Whitney.

Correct. The pad under the pedals is wrong, and it appears to have no cutouts for the seat bolts or the floor vents of the heating system.

So I shouldnt order the 1000 watt subs for 29.95 and the 300 watt equalizer(not amp) at 19.95 from JC ? :(

On topic yeah darkest Ive seen is the dark charcoal.Headliner removal is a bitch trying not to tear 15+ yr fabric.Instead of replacement I had mine steam cleaned to get stains out.Headliner/carpet that worked great.

oh I didn't think it was your fault. I was just disgusted that somebody could have such a nasty, dirty interior. that carpet is literally falling apart! :-(
