Haven't posted here in a just about a year, so hey, hope everyone is good. Just over a year ago I finished school in San Diego, and took a job in Chicago.

Knowing that Chicago has a wonderful public transportation system as well as a atrocious non-car friendly reputation, I did what most would do and left my baby at home. This was a very hard thing to do as I am in love with my E30 and would marry it I could. Holding back the tears, I let go - but for the better, knowing that street-parking it in Chicago through the seasons would likely do a number on the car.

Fast forward to May. It felt weird when I realized that I had gone nearly a year without my E30. However knowing that my program was close to its end, I had an idea. What if I ship my E30 to Chicago? The same E30 that got me through high school and four years of college in California? Just the idea of it got me all tingly. :giggle: After a couple weeks of coordination with my awesome parents back in the SF Bay Area, the car passed its CA Smog Test, and was on a truck out to Illinois. Baby arrived on a warm May night, and was greeted with a nice evening cruise down Lake Shore Drive and two cute little parking tickets from the Honorable Mayor Rahm Emmanuel.

Became good buddies with a senior colleague on my floor at work who drives an F80 M3.
Had the pleasure of driving it, and he had the pleasure of driving mine. :)

Now, after only a month and a half of catching up, the great winds of the Windy City have brought about change, once again.
Took a job in LA last week so it looks like the E30's stay in the Midwest will be coming to an end.
But before I take it back home, I've decided to take it for a little drive.

This Saturday, it (along with I) will be embarking on a little trip around the continent.
Hope to run into some R3Vers as I traverse the North American land mass.
Below is the route that I plan on taking:
Would love to meet some R3Ver along the route, so please let me know if you're on the way! Intend on updating this thread, as well as my instagram.
