my 2.5L showed higher numbers with less restriction, I have long tube headers into a 3" collector back to a supertrapp with a 6" out. We did multiple pulls adding more plates to reduce back pressure till we eventually just removed all the plates. Made most power with no plates at all. With that said the difference was minimal, just a few HP, but I'll take them. This is a full race set up and you dont want to know how loud it is.

also with the exhaust are you using the magnaflow 14815 muffler? i plan on having a custom exhaust made and was going to use that with the 2.5" also i was looking at the numbers on your dyno sheets did the power actually decrease whe you used your induction system and the free flow exhaust?
We have been selling our MAF conversion for 5 years now. Our well proven maf conversions are 315 to 335 USD. This induction system is more than just the MAF conversion. The induction system will be introduced at 599 and will be available in a couple weeks.

There is a group buy for our normal maf systems going on over on bimmer forums right now, but the new induction kit won't be eligible for group buys yet. It's already going to be reduced for it's release.

The power dropped off when the exhaust was installed with our normal maf and stock intake. With a retune, the power was made back and then some.

        So, just to be clear.

This induction kit is going to include:
        Miller MAF GENIII
        True Cold Air Intake
        and WAR Chip

        all for ~$599?

heh. it's starting to sound expensive - a fully assembled MS3 ecu with sequential everything is $640. you still need a couple more things but you can't tune a war chip without a wideband either..

No the W.A.R. Chip is not included in the price. The M20 Induction kit will consist of:
            • Miller ProStreet Induction tube
            • GENiii RACE MAF sensor
            • High flow cone filter
            • rubber coupler with ICV port
            • ProStreet Induction software
            • Aluminum Splash Shield

Here are some pictures of the installation on a customers car (the silver one in the video) He is still using the M20 Throttle body here. Eventually, when our adapters are ready, he will switch to an M30 throttle body.

Here is a picture showing the Aluminum splash shield. These will be powder coated black for production.

Here is a picture to show fitment with the fog light still in place. If you want, you can even modify the brake duct to still fit.

Here is the before and after dyno with Alex's car. Before we did the base line, he changed his oil and spark plugs as well as put a clean filter in the box.

              Thanks for the quick reply.

Im not sure of all the differences so if you could help me out...

Pictured here is a late model with your kit installed. Do you foresee any fitment ussues with early models? for example my 87 is?

              thanks again!

I wouldn't think so, The one horn has to be moved around or deleted. We will have to see if we can get an earlier model 325 in. But I doubt there will be any deal breakers with the earlier production dates.

wow that looks good, what happens if there is no brake duct could that be a plus? and also can i have a hyper link to the group buy on bimmer forums? im not a current member there. also question does buying the maf work with a stock ecu or NON W.A.R. chip? or is it a must to buy the kit?

The MAF an WAR chip are independent products. They don't required eachother to work. Think of the WAR chip simply as the vessle that carries the information (the tune) that your vehicle and it's configuration needs to run.

If you buy our maf o the new induction kit, you don't need the WAR chip, the software would just come on a traditional chip.

I will get the link up when I get back to an actual computer.

Correct. The Dinan Chip is tuned for the Stock AFM. The tuning is completely different for a MAF sensor thus why our kit must come with software.

The wiring modifications you would have already done are the same. But because this product uses a different sensor (our M Car/Race sensor), and has a lot more going on, we don't have an upgrade or trade in program planned.

You could offset the cost for sure as there are always people looking for a bit of a deal.
