    TRM E30 Turbo Build

Here I am taking the same path as others...

I swapped my e30, wanted more power, and a supercharger seemed to be the best solution. As everyone finds out, it's not. After making 342WHP and 260WTQ I was still wanting more. Now, I'm going turbo thanks to TRM's advice and guidance.

The plan is to do a TRM Stage 1 build using Blunttech's top mount manifold for the 24v swap in a e30; Power goals will be around 350HP and 350TQ with a fat power band and quality parts.

    Planned Specs

    - Stock M52 with S50 cams
    - TRM Stage 1 turbo kit
    - Blunttech's e30 turbo manifold
    - TRM Blow Through MAF and 60LB injectors
    - TRM catch can
    - Tial 44mm wasteage
    - Synapse BOV
    - Southbend Stage 2 Clutch
    - AFX Wideband
    - Custom Intercooler set-up

Pictures of the car with the supercharger

    Parts are coming in !!!!

A local shop called KGMade, He did all the welding on Dominic49's track car and did all the work when I was supercharged. He does great work his welds are awesome to look at!

350whp? I suspect you'll be upping the boost in no time

Why did you go top mount instead of TRM bottom mount?

Haha we will see, right now I'm waiting on the manifold and exhaust housing to get back from being ceramic coated. It's the early style NGK AFX Wideband it worked out great I was proud of myself on that one lol.

We shall see that will require a MLS and headstud's.

Well the bottom mount doesn't fit that well, it can be done but it requires spacing the motor over a good bit and some cutting and grinding to make it fit properly. Dominic49 also ran a oil pump system on his car which just seemed like a lot of extra work for little benefit IMO.

Everything will be wrapped and everything will be ceramic coated so heat shouldn't be an issue on my set-up. Plus Blunttech's top mount manifold seems to be made very well and priced right.

Excited to see how this turns out. If everything works out the way i'd like it to in the next few months I may be going this route as well.

Top mount is the way to go for the E30, our manifolds make it very easy to turbo and keep your a/c also.

Can't wait to see the results on this setup. SC power is nice but turbo power is were it's at. You'll be happy for sure.
