Gray market 1983 323i in Atlanta. FS/FT feeler

Gray market E30 323i in Atlanta. FS/FT Feeler- Yup I'm bummed.

1983 Euro E30 323i. Runs good(but rich). Shifts smooth. Dogleg close ratio sport transmission. Rear Diff 3.23. The exterior color is Achatgrun metallic. Creme hounds tooth comfort interior. Factory green tint glass. Type 10 BMW alloys with newer Dunlaps. Also a set of minty bottle caps. The vin number on this car puts its production run in 11/ 82. E30 #471 off the line. Probably one of the earliest E30 survivors.

    Vin # WBAAA710607525471

The car still has the original front euro bumper, fog lights, valence and euro grills. Hand crank windows and sunroof. Pop out rear windows. Original euro high redline VDO gauge cluster. The odometer reads 108,497 miles and is working. The car has Alpina springs (#33-53-104). I was told by the previous owner that an Alpina cam was also installed, but I have not verified this.
The seats are fair - the cloth on the seat bottoms is frayed and the rear is dry with a small tears.
The dash is uncracked. The m tech 1 sport steering wheel is excellant. Carpet is good for the age.
The trunk is in good shape but is missing center carpet peice. Tool kit is missing tools.Stereo is aftermarket and the gas gauge is sticky sometimes.

The engine compartment can use some cleaning and straightening up. New alternator installed. New clutch. Timing belt and water pump with under 5k miles. Wiring and wash tank for headlamp washers are still present. The throttle was upgraded to 325 with a neuspeed adapter. There is a quarter size rust spot near the battery tray.
The air cleaner holding bracket is partially broken. Dont know if the AC works, it has no belt and no freon. Blower motor makes a racket on high setting.

On the exterior the car will need some body work and paint.
Front passenger fender has a small dent and is kinda tweaked. Rear passenger side has corner ding under the brake light. Driver rear quarter has a dent and can see some bondo. Both rear wheel fender arches have rust areas at the bottom corners. The drain plug in the rear floor board on the driver side has been pushed through and should be replaced with a peice of riveted sheet metal. The undercarrage is good. The trunk is clean. Brakelines have just minor surface rust. Brakes work. Needs pads on the front installed (included).
New shocks in rear. The front are not yet (included, but nothing special). The car will need new bushings.

All in all this E30 has a lot of potential. It is quick and handles well and is light.

    Looking for $3231
    Possible trade for a running beater plus $2000. E30, E21, E36, or 2002. ?
If you really believe I'm unrealistic, kindly state your case.

I'm not crazy about selling, but I lost my job, so.....

I also have a 2004 Nissan SER Spec V for sale if interested. http://atlanta.craigslist.org/atl/cto/1520348580.html
If it sells the E30 is off the market.
Also a couple of nice bikes for sale, a Profile 24" BMX cruiser and a mint 1995 Kona a'ha 26" cruiser.

The last 323 I had had all kinds of butchered wiring when they tried to convert it to the US requirements. It always had electrical problems. How is the conversion job on this? I noticed an miles odometer. Mine was km and all the writing was in German. Loved the dog leg by the way. Those trannies used to sell for more than what you are asking for the car.
