I think most of the problems on that thread stem from the OP using the word mint and his personality.

I have just gone over the list on that thread. Some of those things have been corrected.

    Corrected:
    Tranny mounts fixed
    Motor mounts fixed
    No miss fire under load
    No miss fire under 4K
Issue I noted above 6K will be fixed this week by AAW
    All new tires
New master cylinder(not on the list but needed)
New dash (not on the list but needed)
New Clutch and throw out bearing(not on the list but needed)

I will look at all the bushings as per the list and confirm if anything is needed. If new bushings have been installed I will take pics with my phone as it is the only camera I have. If not i will start having them replaced.

I have not seen the rust but will also look at that. The hood and trunk do need to be aligned but that is easy, I plan to take care of that too. The paint job is very respectable for a driver.

The car is being saved. I am going to loose a money but I am not willing to sell a car the way this one WAS. My first M Coupe had subframe issues. You couldnt see it or feel it when you drove the car. I still spent $4000 in a Randy Forbes kit to fix it before I sold it.

Passenger side front tower mount was repaired...poorly. The rear sway mounts have some bushings on there that I've never seen before. People usually reinforce the ear by welding a gusset or adding more material.

Do I need to repair that mount on the strut or is it just a sloppy weld? The bushing look like machined delrin, ive never seen them either.

They look to be a spacer for the oversized length bolt holding the rear sway links.

I have pics of me welding it in ;)

Why wouldn't you bring the car by the shop we all could look over it together and take care of issues? Hope AA is treating you OK.

I havent taken it to AA yet. The mounts were so bad that I was scared to drive it that far. The fan was hitting the shroud.

When do you want to see it?

If it's not safe to drive we maybe can work something out with the car hauler, but probably not until after Sebring next weekend.

EDIT: I know how you are with making sure your cars are what you say they are, and can't believe what we saw on the M-Coupe, but you made it right before selling it. Props for that and will vouch for your sale when (if) you have us iron out the car.

I'm impressed Rene. You're becoming more and more legitimate with every post. Not many people are as forthright as you in their car descriptions.

I was surprised to read you got out of your M coupe for this. Looks like you're quickly going to lose money on this sale.

Good luck! I'd buy a car from you in a heart beat. Sounds like you're quickly bringing this car around to the state it deserves.

Hey thanks I appreciate that. Today I am having the dash replaced. Yesterday I drove about 75 miles in traffic and highway.

The car doesn't ride as rough as I thought at first. I think that next week I'm going to redo the exhaust and that will make a huge improvement. This thread might change into a build/resto thread instead of a for sale thread.

I have a feeling that after I do the exhaust I will just keep it.

A well maintained e30 M3, will most likely have a market following for years to come.

I was going to mention the "keep-it" option, because it sounds like you're sorting things out nicely; and the price of gas is a good argument for a 4 cylinder.

Lol, the Excursion gets 15mpg at 65mph (maybe) with a tailwind, but it has a ton of room and can tow a car-hauler. Got to love a v10.

Are you going to make it to Sebring this weekend? Some of the guys are planning an e30 caravan on Saturday morning. Jay's bringing his s52 swapped e30 and Carlos is bringing the wide-body.
