    WTB: E30 Convertible w/ Automatic

    Hello all!

    Very simple...

    WTB:
    - late model E30 convertible for daily driver
    : automatic transmission only
    : plastic bumpers only
    : clean, decently-preserved examples only
: minor imperfections are not a problem
    : manually-operated top not a problem
: high mileage not a problem
: all colors considered (Alpinweiss or Calypsorot preferred)
    : good/fair price

I've scoured the forum to find what I'm looking for... haven't found it yet.
Please post or PM with any offers or finds! Thanks!

Thanks Sharkbite. I see your ad. Unfortunately the car is just too far out of my price range. I don't believe I'd be able to make an offer you'd be happy with. Best of luck to you nonetheless...

It sounds like if you are flexible on the bumpers I may have just what you want :-)

Freude, you're definitely right about that. Unfortunately, I need an auto because I just can't deal with a stick in Chicago traffic. Also because there might be a RARE occasion when the wife MIGHT be allowed to drive. If it weren't for the stick, your E30 would already be sold.

Jeff, I just took a look through the ad. I know bumper style is a pretty goofy reason to pass on a car... but I just can't move past how much I prefer the plastics. Otherwise, your car would definitely be a top contender. Thanks for the heads up though.

                Good luck to you both!!

Anyone else out there have a (realistically-priced) plastic-bumpered E30 auto vert for sale??

I have a 92 red on tan auto vert with 155k, new top, tires, battery etc. Runs perfect. No rust, dents etc. Mint paint and interior save for a rip on Drivers seat. Completely stock and well maintained. Has a CT rebuilt from 15 yrs ago because it was stolen, all original panels and no funny buisness on the car. I may be persueded to sell it.

It's not cheap, but considering the condition that thing is like brand new.

Zeemz, thanks for pointing that one out. It's a little too mint and pricey for my needs.

                        Nothing like these out there:
                        - M-Technik appearance package E30 in White/White?
                        - Laguna Green/Tan?
                        - Calypso Red/Tan?

I'm not looking for a museum-quality car here, folks... just a clean, well-maintained, appropriately-priced driver. Please keep the leads coming- thanks!

Thanks for the PMs everyone; keep 'em coming.
But how about some cars without a salvage/rebuilt title for a change?
And if you're gonna propose a salvage-titled vehicle, the price needs to reflect it!
