Shipping a car from California is $700-$1000.

The reason the car sold for 6k on Ebay is because that is what the car is worth. Its not because people didn't see the auction and you got a "steal". If you want to make a quick profit and flip a car that is cool. But posting your car for nearly double what you paid for it on this forum is absurd.

Shipping a car to you does not make it worth more, or make your asking price anymore justifiable. Also do you have any proof or credibility YOU looking over the car is even comforting? Its like having a car thats worth 2k, and putting new tires on it that were $1000, and then saying its now worth $3000 because thats how much money you have put into it. If thats the case everyone that has turned a cruddy e30 with 200k miles on it into a mint e30 would be asking and getting 20k for their cars. Just doesn't work that way. the $6000 you paid for it is the limit of what a clean STOCK e30 commands these days.

Maybe you could get close to your asking price if your vert had a brand new crate s52 swapped in it with 0 miles etc. But stock, no.

and i would say frsh13 assessment of shipping cost is pretty accurate.
