Mom is still bullshitting with the bank for a loan so for now, I'm still looking for a manual e30 for 1500$.

A loan for $3k? Why not just buy the vert and ask them for fixup money? Straight body is paramount.

That's the plan now, not sure which vert you mean though. I went to look at one and I couldn't talk myself into buying it and my Cousin bought one that I was looking at and thank god he did cause it is such a piece now that I've driven it.

Luckily, these cars are pretty cheap to make whole again, even if you need to start over.

Not sure if your meaning to troll or not..

But just fyi, I have two e30's at the moment an 84 318i and a 88 325seta, both are 5 speed manuals, both I bought for under 1k, both run and drive great (318i has issues now after fighting with a ditch :3), neither had drastic issues upon purchase. Tuneup and a rear wheel bearing was all the seta needed, the 318i had no issues.

So yes, getting a running manual e30 <$1500 is possible, shit both of my cars I got for under $1500 together! 318i was $800 and the seta was $500.

Stop trying to kill this kids hope!

I bought my rust free 1 owner (my old neighbor) 155,xxx mile 5 speed fully loaded 325e coupe for 500, put another 500 into getting it running. I've had it for well over 1 year and I have never had any problems with it. I absolutely love it. You can definitely get a nice cheap e30. Good luck with your search. Took me a while to find mine.
