I am helping my father move his E39 M5. After a longterm ownership of the car, it is time for someone else to enjoy the car and give it the TLC it deserves. It is not driven much, therefore we are looking to trade for an E30. We would love a 325is, Spec E30, or E30 track car. Can add cash for the right trade or vice versa.
Located in Knoxville, TN. Not necessarily interested in any long distance trades.
Thanks!

I am helping my father sell or trade his E39 M5. He has owned this M5 since 2001! Unfortunately, the M5 does not get driven much and could use some TLC. My father is a BMW Club member and has had an M5 in his garage since the late 80s. Due to a lack of garage space and time, we are looking to sell the M5.
Over the years, we have added the following modifications:
Bilstien PSS10 Coilovers - $2500
UUC Short Shift Kit - $354
Tubi Exhaust - $2600
15% Window Tint
Exterior summary: There are your normal scratches and dents that you can find on a 14 year old car. The only major exterior issue is the dented quarter panel on the passenger side. If buffed correctly, it wouldn't be too noticeable. Regardless, it needs attention. The car has one incident if you pull the CarFax - a fluke incident in our driveway resulted in a new OEM front bumper and hood in the spring of 2012. The only thing the exterior needs is a new passenger side mirror. For the right price or trade, this can be included.
Interior summary: Despite being daily driven for 14 years, the interior is in decent shape. The front seats could use a Leatherique treatment (which I do have), but there are no rips nor tears in the leather. Because it's an E39, of course the front and rear cup holders do not function. The back seat is in very good condition as are the door panels. The gauge cluster suffers from the dead pixel problem like most E39s. A/C blows cold/hot and the radio sounds great.
The car handles on rails and the motor pulls strong. All service records are available with the sale of the car!
What's it need? Rear tires and some interior and exterior work. CEL is on.
