so which one of you put the false bid in ? thanks for letting me sell my car ,i can type fine ,i was pissed that everyone was chopping the car to pieces, i took photos, there is a very detailed carfax, and that guy from southampton put up his opinion on the car, which i did not say was inaccurate, and if you read it there was no candycoating ,just let me sell my car so i can pay my goddam bills .

eBay is a nightmare to sell a car.... Especially an e30 M3 which activates a lot of "fans" to bid for no reason. On top of that you have a crazy salvage listing and on top of that you stirred the pot.

My advice is list it with a buy it now price and avoid the whole bidding thing. It's no guarantee the "Buyer" is legit but it will cut down on the drama and increase your chances to complete a sale.

I still feel bad given the sellers backstory he's having such a hard time finalizing a sale.

i honestly had no idea ebay car auctions could end with no payment so frequently.

Didn't used to happen. Granted, I have never tried to sell a car on there but I have had a few big-ticket items end up going to deadbeats a few times in the past year. Haven't had non-payment up until that point.

As an m3 owner myself, I think his representation in his ad is fine.

He explains what needs work that he could easily take pictures of, and stated the car needs lots of work. Anyone not living in their parent's basement and with a little bit of life experience with cars knows a car that looks like this will need more work than stated, once it's dismantled.

The car looks rough in the pictures, and if you bid on it expecting it to only have issues I the areas visible in the pictures, that's your stupidity.

Congrats on the sale of the car, and I hope it eases you financial strain a bit.
