    89 325 turbo e85 tuned

asking $7k - we have many dyno sheets for this car, it makes around 550hp at the wheels and over 600lbs.

    1989 325 with M50NV 3.0liter 11:1 turbo - plastic bumper conversion - VEMS 3.6
car has anti lag, boost by gear, and ignition shift cut.

replaced this stuff 2 years ago:
    tension straps
    resealed heater box
    blower motor
    blower resistor
    heater core
    si board
    odometer gears
    convertible top
    boost gauge replaced econo gauge
pioneer radio with Iphone interface (very important for the wife)
    fog lights
    front turn signal indicators
    left and right grilles
    kidney grille
    lip spoiler - with clips
    Front turn signal lenses
Rear view mirror from 03 325 - this has a garage door opener built in to it. It also auto dims which is really nice when the top is down at night
E36 m3 light up shift knob - this lights up in a red that matches the interior
    New shift boot

    engine

    VEMS 3.6 - e92 335 coils
    m54 3.0 crank
arp - main studs - headstuds
bearings and rings have been replaced
    new chains
    new guides
    new oil pump
new water pump - metal impeller
oil filter housing off of a m54b30
updated power steering pump from a late e46 to increase steering assist
stock mechanical fan - stock radiator
    new belts
    new belt tensioners
New fuel lines - including the ones around the fuel tank
    New breather hoses
    Vibrant air filter
    Belts
    Fan clutch
Drained and cleaned the inside of the fuel tank

    Fuel system

    450 walboro fuel pump
some kind of external fuel pressure regulator
    80lbs injectors
    new fuel filter

    suspension

rebuilt power steering rack and tierods last week.
    Eibach sport springs
    upper front strut mounts
    spring pads
    KYB shocks
    control arm bushings
    motor mounts - green 535
    transmission mounts
rear subframe and trailing arm bushings
    differential bushing
    rear shocks
upper rear shock mounts with reinforcement plates

    Driveline

    92 525 zf transmission
    throw out bearing
    pilot bearing
    slave cylinder
    master cylinder
    clutch hose
    z4 2.5 shifter
    shifter bushings
    guibo
e83 front driveshaft section - this is needed because the 525 transmission has a large guibo and the stock 93 325 driveshaft has a small front section
    e36 rear driveshaft section
    center support bearing

The bad - could use new seats - The seat frames and foam are in great shape but the leather covers should be replaced
The paint isn't in great shape - someone did a quick spray on it and didn't prep it correctly.
only the seat heater on the driver seat works. I would fix the passenger but I don't have any extra heating elements to install.

This is a shop car and we have had a lot of fun with it doing autox and drag racing. Last week the car ran a 12.2 at 120MPH with 205 all season tires :-)

we have a dyno on site if anyone would like to see power level to verify.

Kinda off topic but was it difficult putting the walbolo 450 in the stock tankabs what size fuel line did you run.

Anyway looks like a awesome deal!

                thanks!

Nomansland92 - yes the 450 was a pain but it was needed. I've run multiple pumps in this thing and the 450 was the only one that would keep up. I don't have any pictures but I can explain how I did it if that would help!

the physical mounting is the same as a 255 or any other pump but the difference is running another tank return line. If you install this pump without an extra return it will over run your suction jet pump. I put a brass T in right next to the fuel filter on the return line going into the tank. There is no room to get a hose through to the top of the tank so I removed the purge valve plastic line and drilled the hole out larger. I connected this hose right next to the fuel pump outlet with a bulkhead fitting. The factory wiring also wasn't up to the task and started to make the factory connector hot when I started to test it. I installed another fuel pump relay in the glove box and ran its own wires to the pump.

The car is using new factory bmw hose for the last few years and it has been holding up great to the e85. If people need more info just call or email me, i'm on the boards very little but we do a ton of these kind of projects.

What type of connecting rod and bearings were used in the build? How many miles on the car after 550 hp?

Stock rods and stock bearings. I don't know how many miles, we don't daily this car. We only use it for drag racing and autox events. If someone was trying to daily this or make the motor last for a long time you would probably not want to keep it at this power level. 400hp in this kind of car would be more than most people would need.

To turn the power level up or down on this car:

plug in to the VEMS, go to the boost controller settings and lower the target boost.

We are restricted to 5000 miles a year on the street because of the way it is registered. We probably put 3000 miles a year on it.

When you say; stock rods and pistons. Are the pistons and rods from a m50nv or is all internals from a m54 like the crankshaft? ?
