In some ways, I would much rather have this than my current daily and the funny thing is that with nearly 20 years between the two, they are nearly identical cars. Both are about 3.5L, both have close to 300bhp and both are solid German sedans. But one is a mass produced "entry" level sedan and the other is a hand built rare motorsport model from an analog era.
Im really shocked nobody has jumped on this. You have it listed on m5board, yes?
edit: Typically at this mileage the head would've needed to come off for a re-fresh, do you have any idea if this has been done?
The other question someone asked earlier about the SLS should be easy to confirm by getting under the car.
The lack of documents on a car like this is scary. About 10 years ago these were considered ~$15k cars and one way or another thats what it was going to cost you. With a car in this price range you'd expect to have another $5k ready to spend on stuff, but hopefully with a car as well used as this one is, its had its maintenance and simply needs the usual maintenance to continue going for several more years. I have no record of the head being done but I'm almost sure it has. It's way too clean in there to be original. The car does have original SLS. I'm sure most would prefer to swap it out for something like Bilstein and H&R anyhow.Comment
