This is a lift-off hood. There is no hood mechanism. Just the factory rear hold downs, and pins for the front.

I didnt want to shite on your thread but since you brought it up some of the welds look a little rough, and thats after they have been painted.
Early in my career as a welding inspector i made a comment (we are supposed to mark up welds that need attention) about cleaning up some hammered dog shit in writing. My boss told me not write that stuff down, its ok to think it but just dont say or write it out.
