WTB: E39 M5 - Will travel anywhere in continental US (Midwest preferred)

I know this might be a long shot, but r3v never surprises me...

    Looking for the following:

Model years: 2001-2003 (will consider 2000 for the right car)

Color: White, Green, Grey, Black, Blue, Green, Silver

Interior: Carmel, Black, Black/Grey, Black/Red (with the right car)

    Mileage: <150K is a must.

History: 3 owners or less preferred, will consider more for a car with good records - NO accidents, even if the title is clean. Looking for original paint car.

Maintenance: Records are a MUST - looking for a well sorted and cared for car, no stories, no rust, no deferred maintenance. Must be open to a PPI.

    Price: ~$20K (a little flexible here, expecting 85K - 120K mile cars)

I'm looking for a very well sorted and cared for car, but not necessarily a garage queen. I plan to DD this car, so I am putting thorough maintenance and preventative items over things like perfect paint (I am okay with a few dings, rock chips, etc.).

I am in Kansas City, but I will travel for the right car, or have it shipped assuming the seller is willing.

A PPI is must, so if you aren't open to one, please don't waste our time.

    Thanks in advance!

at the 20k price range, i genuinely think you shouldnt settle for anything over 90k miles, and nothing under 2001.

          Agreed.

I sold my '01 with 105k, 9.5/10 cosmetic condition, 9.5" style 65's all around with almost new PSS, and recent rod bearing replacement for $16.5k.

Turned around an bought 190k 2000 with long term owner and track focused upgrades (Stoptech BBK, Zionsville Radiator, etc) for sub $10k. They are amazing cars for the money, let me know if you have any questions or need one checked out down here.

The car you sold sounds like the car I want to buy.

Will definitely let you know if I need eyes on a car in GA - really appreciate the offer!

Probably goes without saying, but M5 board always has one or two stunning beauties for sale. With a 20k budget I am sure you will find a head turner.

Whatever you get, be sure to share with R3v! I'll have an E39 M5 myself here soon as well.

I'm all over M5board, but I can't PM, post, etc. Very annoying considering I 'registered' 2 weeks ago.

I will definitely post all the details once I find one!!

                    Simon,

I appreciate the offer! I reached out to an E39 buddy to do some PMing for me.

Still annoying - I've been a member on Rennlist for over a year and still can't post...

I had a very very long wait with M5Boards as far as being 'accepted' officially.

Took about 5 months for them to finally certify my profile.

                      Very tedious.

                            That's sh*tty.

What really annoys me is when people sell a car on a forum, but don't provide ANY way to contact them if you're not a forum member with PM and posting privileges. Why would you willingly shrink your pool of prospective buyers by so much?

rant over. Time to find an M5.
