    FEELER!!! 1988 325ix

Hey guys I was kinda wondering what you would be willing to pay for my ix. I dont know how to post pictures but if you go into the member gallery and look under Quik325ix...thats my baby. 184k miles. heres a rundown of the good and the bad:

    1. Front Diff is out. I removed the driveshaft though and RWD is working great.
    2. Steering rack blown out. So no power steering at this point. Still steers fine but at low speeds(parking lot) it is a little difficult.
    3. Hydro unit for ABS doesnt work, but the brakes are all working fine. Just no ABS.
    4. Crack in windshield about 4 inches long. Runs horizontal and about 24" below the rearview.
    5. Some dumb girl backed into me in a parking lot the other day and dented my left front fender. Its nothing major but i will take care of that.
    6. Head rebuilt about 30k ago. Still runs like a top and burns very little oil. The remedy for that is a valve adjustment that i havent had time to mess with.
    7. Basketweaves in great shape. A little curb rash on the left front actually from hitting a pothole. Bent the wheel slightly but the wheel was fixed and has given me no problems.
    8. Leather on drivers seat not in the best of shape. I left my sunroof open and an unfortunate thunderstorm came along.
    9. Carpet in great shape. Just needs to be cleaned. I think there is on cigarette burn in the carpet from the previous owner. but other than that very straight.
10.Dual glass pack mufflers with no (gutted) catylitic convertor. Sounds great. a little resonant though.
    11. E36 M3 front suspension. Rear adjustable gas shocks.
    12. Could benefit from a respray. No major flaws in body. Just a few stone checks.

I have had mine for sale for about a month and finally sold for $2800. Check out my listing for details of car. Other than rust on my car it was perfect. I started at $4500 and didn't get any bites until $3000 price. 4wd drived worked, heated seats worked, No rips or fading in leather, have receipts since new, 3rd owner.

              Good luck with sale.

I agree with Robbie. At this point it's a decent body work a lot of good parts. However if I were to buy it I would get a new diff, drive shaft, tranny, oil pan, steering rack... umm the suspension needs to be updated as the ix suspension.. ummm sucks..

yea.. I'd give ya $2k for it because the body looks decent.

                    200 driveshaft
                    250 3.73 diff
                    350 tranny
                    150 oil pan
suspension shit to fix the front? no clue... all the labor.

actually, no. you can drive without the front driveshaft. what it has really proven is that his VC is working like new...
