BMW 325is E30 Baur. 1983, 5spd, fully federalized. I tried doing research on the Baur but very little is to be found. There where about five thousand produced world wide and it was never imported officially into the USA. Few private individuals brought them in, so there are very few on the road. It is hard to come up with a fair price to ask for this E30 because of the lack on the market place. I based my price purely on performance since most E30 “is” drivers are about performance. It is by far the most fun and fastest E30 I have ever owned (I have owned 6). Since it is a Euro model with small bumpers, no door beams, no metal roof my honest estimation is that the car weighs between 2200-2400 lbs since it’s not a complete convertible but a targa style top (a ’91 318is weighs 2602 lbs). The motor has been upgraded to an I 2.5L M20 U.S. spec (168hp & 164tq) . The differential is an LSD. It has a performance exhaust (sounds very good), short shift kit, Beilsten sport struts with H&R sport springs. There is no AC and no power steering. There are brand new control arms along with the respective bushings. The convertible targa top works perfectly (use it as a giant sunroof, or complete convertible). The odometer is reads 87k miles. Come check it out you will be very happy you did. Own a very rare and FUN Bimmer. $3,900. Alex 858.401.2661. PM me for more pics. I bought the E30 from Ron Perry not to long ago with the intention of keeping the interior, wheels, and spoiler. But decided to keep the seats only. The seats in it are regular non recaros in great shape. I use it for now because I love the targa top, but I really don't have any need for it so I don't want to keep it. Let someone ells enjoy it for the summer.

The 90is is not running good right now, I need take to DynoTech and get it fixed first. Then maybe sell it if I can let it go. But it does have a 4.10 LSD, and Ireland suspension and a very burly exhaust, also considering putting sportmax wheels.sigpicComment

I tried to price it fairly. I took it to Julian this weekend in SD and for those of you familier with the drive you know how great the drive is, it was awesome. I was a bit hung up on the look of the Baur with the back section down before I bought it, but with only the targa off and the back up it has really grown on me. If you want to hear the exhaust I have a clip on youtube. just type in chameleonleather and my vids will show up.Last edited by chameleonleather; 03-26-2008, 08:28 PM.sigpicComment

I know that the sportmax wheels are heavy, but I like the deep dish look of the 513 (gunmetal) & 501 (silver) models, my brother just put the 513s on his 318is and it looks great.sigpicComment

Thanks for the interest, I also believe that it's a fair price. I wouldn't feel right if someone had to sell a kidney for it. If you are really interested then please call me (numbers in the ad) and come take a look tomorrow.sigpicComment
