    Turner chip 351 for 325i 325iX Motronic 1.3 93 octane

I have a 88+ 325i chip from Turner for sale. This chip was in my 351 ECU from a 325iX but will likely work in other units - I have mostly seen the 351 ECU in 325iX cars, but I'm sure they came in others as well. Price is $79 shipped here in the 48 states. I have feedback here on R3V.

How did it work? Going back to stock chip? Enough difference to keep 91 octane in tank?

There is a noticeable difference with the Turner chip with high octane especially pulling from 4K to the higher redline. This a stock injector chip that will not work with my current tune.

I've never seen a 351 DME (and I've seen many) come on any 325i, so it is probably iX specific since I have no experience with iX's. It's not even listed in my list of Bosch DME's for E30's.

There is a tread about the 351 ECU in the iX section, but no one ever came up with a definitive reason why the iX might have had a different tune. My theory was that the 325iX automatic needed to be dialed in at the factory and BMW just popped a different chip in and called it a 351. Or - the iX specific ABS system dictated tuning changes??? I'm tempted to pop in a stock 173 chip into the 351 to see how it runs, but my car has 4 pintle 19 lb. injectors at present.
