It would look similar but mount in way that the ashtray would still be useable.

Okay then I'll put it on the list of things to do this week once I get some new Husco alcantara replacement covers made that I said I'd get to for some other members who were interested in seeing.

Got mine today but couldn't get the aftermarket lighter setup out. Sadly the bmw lighter does not fit in the cupholder's housing so I need to swap the entire lighter system but can't get your out. Do I just hammer it out?

The base screws off from behind then it slides out.

The oem lighter assembly is made specifically for the oem ashtray assembly and will not fit the cup holder or any other 12v socket.

The sockets used are safety accessory sockets and are not made to accept a lighter. If you need to have a lighter style socket you'll need to purchase a new assembly that comes with a lighter at any auto parts store.

I offered them at $80 shipped to the mainland US. When I put them on ebay they go for $110

I see. I'll just have to forgo the luxury of hot coil cig lighting. Thanks
