                                umm yeah.. if they're shocks, they should extend the whole way. That's why they're shocks.

                                    A shock is made to eliminate spring oscillation. Some are filled with air, gas and or oil. These rear koni's are filled with OIL and not pressurized. When the dampener is moved up or down the OIL is squeezed thew an adjustable orifice that controls the levels of dampening. Every rear Koni ive seen for an e30 is like this, the mustang ones are also. Even for other applications ive seen the same....
