You can get a title from RI with just a bill of sale. I dont know the full process. But my buddys uncle used to do it when people would leave cars at his shop after a year.

You can do that in any state if you own a shop.

Then again the op never claimed it to be a authentic mtech2 vert, he just said the wheels and kit were oem...

Vlad said it was an 87, 88 so that right there tells you it's not a genuine M Tech appearance car although it's setup to look like one. However, if the kit is original it's already worth the purchase price. It's like getting a free E30 with purchase of the kit.

you can insure it without a title, use other plates.
YOu get pulled over, give a story about just having bought the car or just pay the fine - it's like 75 bucks in MO.
