The small tails and the horrible fitment of the body kit lead me to believe this is an early car that someone put a poorly fitting m-tech2 kit onto.

I have a 92 M-technicII appearance car and it's got late tails, as do all of the other real m-technic2 cars that I've ever seen.

It looks like there is an interior in the car. Are you taking it out or is it just not salvagable?

Another key to whether it's a real m-tech2 is if the top is power and the driver's side rear door panel doesn't have the top release latch. In 1992, all m-tech2 cars had power tops. Not that they couldn't be switched to manual....
Thats true, Ive never seen or heard of an Mtech2 with early model tail lights. Nonetheless, if its an oem kit, itll be well worth the money...

Then again the op never claimed it to be a authentic mtech2 vert, he just said the wheels and kit were oem...

Vlad said it was an 87, 88 so that right there tells you it's not a genuine M Tech appearance car although it's setup to look like one. However, if the kit is original it's already worth the purchase price. It's like getting a free E30 with purchase of the kit. Doesn't look like it's fitted properly though.

But early tail light verts had late arches so it should fit right, or could be made to fit right rather, not like the kit had to be modified to fit this car
