The small tails and the horrible fitment of the body kit lead me to believe this is an early car that someone put a poorly fitting m-tech2 kit onto.
I have a 92 M-technicII appearance car and it's got late tails, as do all of the other real m-technic2 cars that I've ever seen.
It looks like there is an interior in the car. Are you taking it out or is it just not salvagable?Last edited by mertondude; 04-09-2010, 04:59 AM.Comment

Thats true, Ive never seen or heard of an Mtech2 with early model tail lights. Nonetheless, if its an oem kit, itll be well worth the money...It should be a 1992 if it's a real M-technicII appearance car. Another key to whether it's a real m-tech2 is if the top is power and the driver's side rear door panel doesn't have the top release latch. In 1992, all m-tech2 cars had power tops. Not that they couldn't be switched to manual....

Vlad said it was an 87, 88 so that right there tells you it's not a genuine M Tech appearance car although it's setup to look like one. However, if the kit is original it's already worth the purchase price. It's like getting a free E30 with purchase of the kit. Doesn't look like it's fitted properly though."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj
