    WTB: 3.xx LSD

I have two perfect 4.10 LSDs and my M50 swapped car just doesnt like going 90mph for 5 hours with the 4.10

looking to either trade someone my 4.10 or buy a 3.xx straight up. (preferably the latter)

must be in perfect working and mechanical condition. must have E30 cover.

prefer 3.25 or 3.46 but 3.73 is fine as well

    Thanks!
    -Erik

    Would you consider a 2.93?

How is the lockup on your 4.10 diff? Do you have of them in a car you can measure with a torque wrench?

maaaybe, I still run a getrag 260 so Im worried about first gear being too long with a 2.93.

Jack one one side of the car so the wheel is off the ground, put it in neutral. Put the torque wrench on the hub nut (30mm I believe) and set it to 50 lbs/ft or so. It should turn the wheel, not click. Keep turning it down slowly until you find the point where it clicks, instead of turning the wheel. Should be in the 35 to 50 range.

Don't do it just for my sake, I'm not sure if I can come up with a 3.xx to trade for ya. But I'd be interested in buying outright if the price is right. And it will definitely help you sell it if you have that number.

I'll do that this weekend, I'll have to figure out how to do that with my other 4.10 on the shelf, lol.

not really, drove it home on highways only and had it up on the lift a week later when I got my plates in the mail to make sure all was well and discovered the welded (or perhaps super hard clutch'd diff)
