how come it's not flush? also, it seems like how that's setup would still have that squishy feeling that i hate because it's not braced?

yeah, intended for you, and no, it doesn't...at least not with the edge of the stock dead pedal. it looks like if you put some pressure on it, it would give like it does when stock.

Pic of convertible - Not fitting

Well, I did not see the post about it not fitting in a Vert and tried to install one.

The cover panel is shaped different than a non-vert and there is a bunch of wiring behind that bump out that is in the way as well.
The Clutch Stop location is closer to the dead pedal area by almost 2".

Here is a pic to give others more info:

I might just cut off the two flanges and screw the main pedal part down through the carpet.

Thanks for sharing. I came very close to buying, glad I didn't. I would be first on the list if someone designed a vert deadpedal.

I know Lee doesn't post here anymore, but I just wanted to let everyone know how I installed my dead pedal:

-Attached skateboard grip tape to dead pedal
-Filed out the hole so that it fit around the clutch stop "sleeve"
-Used a jetblacke46 clutch stop with the washer behind the dead pedal, nut on top
-After the clutch stop is installed, line up the bolt that is under the speaker cover, making sure the last hole is lined up correctly
-Install speaker cover, and install the last screw

I absolutely love the dead pedal, couldn't be happier. There is a space between my old foam/carpet dead pedal and the new repro but it doesn't bother me because it feels like how it should have been from the factory.

Hope this helps those that haven't put theirs in yet...it does seem like it doesn't fit/isn't folded correctly when you look at it, it really is weird. But like I said before I absolutely love it now that it's installed.
