Did you do your drivers side?

Cuz thats what I need to do. Got the cylinder out and saw one of the parts was cracked in two pieces. Just put in the order for the correct side.Gonna be a few days.

Yes I did drivers side, Hope you still got the old one cause you need to pull each gate out and read the number on it in order to key the lock. Generally gotta wipe off all the grime.

Lucky! Mine broke off from the cylinder so i had to replace the entire thing, from the looks of things you could half ass it and just put the new end piece on, I wouldn't recommend it. Having brand new gates and grease without grime really makes unlocking and locking my car a pleasure, after unlocking from the trunk for a year.

Close to the same, i saw a couple minor differences, but it was mostly cosmetic.. Just grab some good light and some tweezers cause the springs are tiny! So for the writing on each "gate" I basically did one at a time then flipped it over to do the other side you gotta be careful the springs and gates don't come flying out.

Ya i spent an entire day at my desk at work with all the pieces and useless german instructions until finally started to understand it! Also the giant C clip inside the door has to be pushed pretty hard to lock the new lock cylinder in place, I did it with my hands and within a day it stopped working

Another shot of what breaks in the drivers door cylinder and causes so many fucking headaches.

That was the part I was referring to when you e-mailed me; very common problem with the drivers side. The reason this breaks is lack of lubrication over the course of its life. This breaks off and then the lock spins but doesn't work. Shit happens.. At least you don't have to completely rebuild it. Get a used lock cyl and change that piece. I'm sure you can find a bad lock and swap it over.
