    e30 used parts equations:

NLA part = original dealer price x 5
    Rare part = junkyard price x 5
All other parts = junkyard price x 3

oh crap, i cant help myself...

      tony,
i see you used the rating system in your sale ad.
those door panels are 9/10 just becuse they are dirty? so, if they were cleaned up they would be a 10/10.... i can clearly see bubbling on at least one of the panels.... if that wansnt there then it would be what... an 11/10. I bet the graining on the handle of the driver side is probably worn smooth so if it was NOS or a new part and had the graining, it would be a 12/10.....

people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones......

Oh, and i really promise not to post in this thread for a few days, promise.

herlsy - wow, really? that is helpful info, i had no ideas that the rare parts were that valuable. thanks.

I haven't had any trouble obtaining an accurate description of a part. If it's not listed in the ad, I ask. If the person is unable to provide that, I move along.

A 10 to me might be a 1 to you, it's a matter of opinion. Most parts don't require a rating system, and I for one don't have the time to sit down and determine what each of the parts I'm selling or buying is, when I can just describe any flaws instead.

I think it's more important that people learn how to communicate a little better with proper grammar and sentence structure. Other forums, like corner-carvers, will basically delete your post and ban you if you can't do that. It doesn't have to be perfect, but "yo bro, u do $10 shipped fo teh mtech too kit", doesn't cut it.

correction i use MY rating system and the number had nothing to do with the amount of dirty. the pictures speak for themselves. and thats why people use the PM function...to ask more questions! there is also no "bubbling" on the panels you need to fix your eyes. but this isnt about my parts and how i choose to rate and describe them and how you choose to see them, unless u wanna buy them :D. this about you making things overly complex with your "amazing" rating system.

if you are trying to rate something a 12 out of 10. then you obviously have no business trying to make a consistent rating system for used parts.

but really dude, look at your big ass list. the fuck is gonna remember that shit. it takes long enough to list the parts with prices and load up pics.

when your done getting your pretty little panties in a wad learn how shit works on r3v. if you are too sensitive for this shit. go to e30tech. ill be nicer to you there i promise. ;)
