Installed mine a few days ago, very easy. Odometer is now working correctly! Thanks for a great product at a very fair price.

Dumb question (or two or three)
I have a 1991 Convertible. End of this summer the odometer made a very subtle clicking sound and I noticed that the tenths would "jump" ever so slightly at each click. So....
sounds like I need a new gear.

Car is in storage. I think it is VDO but totally not sure.

I found the airbag/wheel removal instructions. can this be done without removing the wheel?

                        Thanks

Yes it can be done without removing the steering wheel however it makes things much much more difficult. The time to take the steering wheel off will save you alot of aggravation. Not to mention that the tabs on the clusters are fragile and its common for people to break them as it is.

Easiest way to tell which unit you have:

This is by far our most asked question. So how do you know what unit is in your E30? Well, here are a couple of ways you can tell.   The first way: Stamping on the face of gauge cluster Your E30 3 series or M3 will have the either "VDO" or "Motometer" stamped in the gauge cluster between the RPM and speedometer.
