    Race Skids Cross Brace...for sale

I am selling my race skids cross brace. It just didnt fit with the sway bar i got. Plus i am trying to learn to drift..i think this is more for the autox and track guys. I loooved this thing in back roads but when drifting it became a little to twitchy for me.

I did try and include the mounting hardware but i lost my old hardware so now i need it for my steering rack and lollipop bolts.:tsk: Bavauto could send it for cheap.

I purchased it from bavauto for $280

Lets start of at $250 for it

Oooor if you have a good front strut brace ill trade u the brace for your strut brace + $100. This cross brace does more than any sways by themselves. def worth it, im just not a autox guy or someone looking to shave off lap times

I have a eibach strut bar that needs a bit of polishing that I might be interested in trading.

im not too picky about polishing.. but im not sure what thats worth. but would u throw down money on top of the trade? cause the IE strut bar is $150. and is the eibach bar stainless steel or aluminum. heard the steel ones were better and would prefer one of those if im giving up this great brace.

i will do the eibach tho

            bump
            still for sale/trade

oooor, if someone would get me a set of them 20mm wheel spacers from ejnight for $70 & some of them race lugs from kalib07 which equals = $124 with their front strut bar THAT WOULD BE PERFECT!

This cross brace is the shit...just not for drifting which is why i dont need it

you just said it exactly. ppl waste their money on 5 lug swaps, side skirts and headlights instead of really making their e30 an ultimate driving machine. I just got my e30 in april so im still new to it but i havnt meet anyone with one of these. i brought it to my meet and ppl were like what is that?lol

to me its all about the sleepers!!! when you see a car enter a corner 10-15mph quicker it will wake you up and think what the...its happened in my back roads. this one guy had a 5 series and was like, "but how old is that car!?"

i passed him on the outside of a corner just before we pulled him.hehe

like i said at the top...im a drifter and it made the the car go in the direction it was pointed in, period. didnt want to stay sideways. so this is a must for track e30s, verts and autox'ers who want to keep their car straight and pulling

How on earth have you reached the conclusion that it's impossible to go sideways with chassis bracing?
                          paint sucks

i didnt say chassis bracing, sir..im saying this race skids cross brace. which is located up front..and i kinda still suck at statying sideways with great lines. its like starting out drifting an underpowered car with very sticky tires. it involves a lot more confidence with initiation. I dont have confidence yet so it doesnt work for me. less sticky tires are better until your working with faster speeds and better technique. u feel me?

If a drifter wants it by all means go for it. but everywhere ive asked, i still have yet to find a drifter with a race skids cross brace in their set up

if i end up wanting one again ill get one later. but meanwhile i want to put money towards strut bars (front and rear), coil overs, a cage(which is chassis bracing in a different area of the car) AND THEN go from there. but go and look at drift car setups or builds. do u see a cross brace in there? and if you do, cause im sure u might be able to find one, let me know how long theyve been drifting for.lol

it does a much better job keeping the car straight when im sliding around. which is why its great for track and auto x. in my opinion.

In trying to sell this ive come to realize a lot of the cross brace opinions are coming from ppl who have never been in a car with one of these. im talking about 90% of the opinions

one guy thinks it does the same job as a skid plate!
do you own or have owned a cross brace and drift your e30 3-4days a week? or just tear up empty lots trying to learn car control that often. i dont know all the technical aspects of cars cause im teaching myself the mechanics. but i am very good at hearing/feeling what a car tells tells the driver when pushing its limits. ive heard a lot of theoretical stuff about this but try it first before judging
