This is the same thought I have. The rears are the easy part. I don't know what has to be changed for the front.

For the front I just attach it to the fender liner bolts. The flaps are flexible enough to work around the extra "flarage" of the IX flares.

So are you guys interested in a full bolt on kit with brackets and pre-drilled mudflaps? Or would you like pre-drilled mudflaps sold with out hardware for a lower price? the front on the E30 requires no bracket but to mount rear mudfaps you need a custom bracket(which I can make)

I think having a few options would be best. I'd personally like a set with brackets and pre drilled.

How much extra would the brackets cost?

If the price is right, I would be down for a set w/ brackets to make the install a bit easier and convenient.

I'm thinking with brackets/hardware would be nice.

Brackets/hardware would be about another $20.

So are you cutting these with heat or what?

well I received one material sample today and it is textured(one side more than the other) but it really doesn't bother me. I also got a more flexible material that has a very smooth finish but the it has some strange indentation from sitting under some object for too long( I tried heating it for over an hour and the dimples are still there..

I got my first protoype done, it is much more flexible than rally armour basic universals and has excellent durability and chemical resistance. Because the material is so much more flexible I need to make a 3 point bracket to mount them instead of my current wimpy one bolt design.

here are some pics of the material mounted to the fender liner with only 1 bolt. it will fit much better once a bracket it made.
I actually really like it, I will see how it looks in the morning because its going to be about 20 degrees.

I made a pair today with cutting tool and grinding wheel to ensure they are symmetrical.
I hand make these but all flaps will be within a mm of each other.

I am interested in seeing the smoother finished set. Will there be an option for the stiffer flaps with the smooth finish?

I will be looking into, I'll try to get more sample material.
