Helpin keep it on the top..... But real reason for posting.... How'd you get the touring over there? I'm sure the story is common knowledge but I'm a little behind the power curve....

to get it from canada to america you're gonna have to pay about $7500 in federalization fees.

It wasn't brought over from germany to Canada until last year

in canada, you can have any car 15 years old or older.

also, I don't really have time to package these up, so I would prefer not to ship them.

Is that number per experience or just from what you've been told? I mean.... thats more than it would cost to have one converted from German specs directly shipped from Germany to the states.

probably easier to send to canada first no?

Thats what I was thinking..... no conversion needed from Germany to Canada and then little needed from Canada to the states. Dunno?

i speak from experience. going through canada doesn't help any, either. germany to canada is easy, long as its more than 15 years old just add a cat and drive it.
but when bringing a car to the states-the only thing that matters is the country of origin. doesnt matter if it went to canada first, if it was intended for roads in germany, you will NOT get a letter of compliance from BMW, so the only way to register it is to pay federalization

Took some pics of the rims after going through Delta Sonic. so they get much cleaner, but this is cleaner than the last pics at least

                            $525 meow!

The only legal way, that is.

Bump for some super clean 15" baskets.
