Lots of cables in stock still. We're also developing an auxiliary grounding kit for the E30. This will including aux grounding for the starter and alternator.

Hello - I am interested ion the E30 Grounding cable and the stater cable. I think the 4 GA woul be sufficient for stock application. what is the price for both ?

Question - have you considered making battery cables for the E30 Convertibles ? - I have a convertible and could shoot you a pic / lengths to use as a guide

Greg, I have the alternator cable with red ends that I still need to install and just went to take a look at it. I actually didn't see where this wire installs? The only wires connected to my alternator are the red/blue wires from the main engine harness. This is for a 91 325i....is that cable for a different year alternator?

This cable will actually work on all BMW inline 6 cylinder engines.

It replaces (or adds in addition) to the larger red cable. The alternator has an output post with a large red wire that runs to the starter power input post. This OEM red cable is replaced by the cable we sell.

As I mentioned, the only red wire to my alt comes straight out of the main engine harness, and same goes for my starter, so I am not sure where this should go....might be having a brain fart moment here.

It would help if you specified which car you are referring to.

The m3 has the cable that comes out of the harness. The M3 also uses a heavier gauge cable so the #2 upgrade alternator cable is not needed.

However, for the 325i/e, the alternator cable runs up to the intake manifold, across the bottom side, and back down to the starter.

This is for my 91 M20....I will take another look. I just dont recall any individual wire from the alt to the starter that is not incorporated into the wire harness

You will have to cut the old wires out of harness or run the new cable alongside. We've sold hundreds of these cables so its very doable.
