Don't trust the competition! These cables are heavier, better built, both crimped and soldered, and will handle more current! I'm willing to put my cables to the "weight scale" test against any other competitor!!

Soldered-only cables will fail because of the high electrical current pulled from the starter. Current levels are the same through both the positive and ground cables! So its very important to crimp both all power cables and ground cables.

Industrial crimping alone far exceeds the durability of the competitors!

Maybe a stupid question, but e30 24V fitment? Don't know enough about it, but know that my cables have to be old.

              Thanks, Ed

That's actually a good question. Is it an M20 with 24V head or the later model motor?

For the M42 motor there are two ground cables; Alternator ground and engine ground.

OEM alternator ground = 7 in.
OEM engine ground = 15 in.

So yea, the kit that I sell will work but you will need an additional single 15in cable. When you are ready, send me a PM and I will quote you on that cable+kit.

For the S52, I see two ground cables. One from valve cover to chassis but no spec on length. I would guess about 8 inches but my grounds are a little over 10 inches.

There is another ground in the rear, different from battery negative cable, that is 15 inches long.

Please pm me if you like to purchase and I'll quote you on those custom lengths and qty.

You're saying the solder will melt on the ground cable ???

Soldered only yes. The solder, by design, is intended to melt at a low temperature point. Battery cables pull a tremendous amount of current that can generate a lot of heat.

Battery cables and any high current cables should NEVER be soldered only. They should at least be crimped. Mine are first crimped with industrial crimpers then soldered. They can handle hundreds of amps of current.

It would be interesting to see temps of a terminal after a drive.
Even with a sound system bumping.
