right right, thats what my debate has been about. finding that threshold between maximum clearance and impact clearance.

the clearance actually makes a difference as im on 2 inch shortened housing and bottomed out on my 6 inch springs, so clearance is at about 1.25", and that half an inch will stop me from spitting sparks every time i change lanes

thats also what i was thinking.. maxxing what the pan can top out at will eliminate the amount of slide that will occur due to those slots during impact

the leading edge of the pan also sits firmly against the rad support when not using more than 2 spaces making it difficult for the pan to go anywhere but you could always do some mods to it also

if anyone wants to see this plate in person ill be rocking mine at bimmerfest this weekend

Does this slid plate introduce oil cooling problems? The pan needs cool air flowing around it...right?

              Looks nice otherwise!

I ran this plate in a rally cross event this weekend and the plate did its job.

                    Highly recommend!

On my revshift M42 motor mounts it barely touches the back of the oil pan. Gonna swap in M5 mounts on Monday.
