Shipped few orders today. Will send to all buyers an e-mail tomorrow with instructions and tracking info.

I have made an experiment regarding the finishing also. Sent 2 plates to one company last week who shot-blasted them for me with glass. The end result is actually really cool and they have a silky finish now. One of them was shipped today to ToPLeSS(e30)FeinD and i hope he will review it ;)

This silky finish will last only till the first impact of course :D
Will upload some pics soon ;)

Are installation instructions included? And, for those using the quick oil drain plug, which model are you using? I am definitely going to get one with the nipple to reduce oil change hassle.

First I think we should clarify all the facts. I just double checked and see that you state everywhere that your plate is made from 10 gage steel plate. I have to admit that it was long time ago but back then in school they told me that 10 gage is equal to 3,429 mm and I don`t think they lied to me. So considering that how can you tell me that my plate is half the thickness of yours?? My mathematics tell me that mine is actually almost 2 mm thicker than yours!

Let’s now also talk about the cutouts in your plate. They form about 25-30 % from your plate which means that it reduces the plate strength the same amount. Let`s add now also the structural issues. On your plate because of those cutouts each stripe has to work alone and without support from side. My plate is solid and everything works together as one piece.

Please also specify the exact material grade for that aluminum plate you made and which you stated was not enough for street? There are tens of different aluminum alloys out there available with different properties, different areas of usage, different tempering grades etc. And please also specify the correct material thickness of the plate you were using. Was it 10 gage or 10 mm? If it was 10 mm and solid piece then I would say it is a major overkill as this plate would be suitable for any kind of stunts. But it would be also pointless as it loses its weight advantage compared to carbon steel plate. If you made the same cutouts to this plate then it would be still pointless as you wouldn`t gain much. But don`t come to me and say it was not suitable for streets because this is bs!
I know a lot about the steel because I have been working in this business for 10 years. Our company manufactures pretty much everything from steel and we are CE certified which says a lot as the European regulations are very demanding.

I would like to know also which exact carbon steel grade are you using for your plates? Again, there are hundreds of them out there with different properties and acting differently in different conditions and climates. I am assuming that you are using something from the class S235 (A36 by US standards)? In that case I am stating that my plate is at least as strong as your plate and more corrosion resistant! Even stronger if we take in account all those structural points I was writing above.

Until you not answer my questions I call your post as bashing!

In conclusion I can say that actually both plates- yours and mine will perform well on streets and even rally events. They both have their pros and cons but it is not material itself that we should worry or argue. It’s the setup itself. The weakest thing on both plates is the fixing solution actually. As the impact forces never come straight from down to up but they come under the angle from front the fasteners and fixing points will give up far before the plate does. That is why I have included higher grade bolts for steering rack on my hardware kit but it is still a minor gain if you look at the steering rack fixing brackets on the car. They are much weaker than the plate. But no need to worry too much as these plates have proven themselves on the streets and rally events and this is still the best balance between the strength and ease of installation.
