Just want to throw in some customer feedback here: I messed around with other "remanufactured" AFMs and the quality was inconsistent - a couple didn't work or were damaged in the factory. I got a refund but lost my shipping cost. I eventually got a "good" one that started failing after only a year. I replaced it with a unit from BR and of course the presentation of the unit is nice and clean, it fits (believe it or not it's possible to mess that up) and it's worked great since I got it. Great service and price, highly recommended.

What would happen if you put an 'is' AFM onto an ETA motor?

It would not start without swapping the DME also.

Are you sure it wouldn't just run very rich? Because my car ran VERY rich when I swapped my ETA AFM for my buddies 'is' AFM while trying to diagnose a stuttering issue on idle and under load... Other than running very rich, it ran very smoothly throughout the RPM range and under different amounts of load.
My car is completely stock btw.

Sure that's possible. However, on my 325is, an ETA afm will not allow the car to start. So perhaps yes, an 325i AFM on an eta would run rich.

Ah ok yeah, that makes sense! We tried my AFM to see if it was ok on a Euro 320i and it most certainly would not run.
I almost certain my issue lies within my AFM. With that being said, whats the current price for an ETA AFM?
Also, I have an AFM of unknown origin. How can I tell what engine it belongs to?
I installed it on my car today to see if it would solve my issue and made no difference. I figure its probably no bueno as well.
Would you be interested in purchasing it for your stock?

ETA AFM's are on sale right now for $100 plus a $25 core deposit. SO pay $125 and receive $25 when you return your original AFM. I will also give you an additional $25 for your spare AFM, the more AFM's, the more discount.

To get a refund for your AFM, be sure the lid is intact and not broken and the inside door moves freely without binding.

To tell which AFM goes to which car, look up the part number on realoem.com, that will tell you which year and cars its for. If lid is missing, then I could tell but only when its on my test bench.
