looking to get a shift boot to replace my oem one that's torn. whats the difference between automotive vs non-automotive? is the material different or something? just looking for regular black color, close to how the OEM one is. how's the stock like and how soon do you ship?

Yes, the automotive grade is rated for UV exposure, as is the vinyl. They will last many years in your car. The non-auto grade stuff will begin to deteriorate within a year or two.

Black vinyl or leather with black stitching matches OEM the closest, vinyl is $25/set and leather is $40/set. Shipping is free within the US.

Boots are made as ordered; I don't cut the material until your payment posts. It usually takes me less than 10 days, I ship a couple times a week.

Are you able to make the boot like the original e30m3? They were one piece of leather that was the boot & ran up /over/around the shift knob. It was a single piece of leather that ended ar the top edge of the shift knob with a round opening for the plastic medallion with shift pattern. I can get an old worn one for a pattern if you want.

I've not had good luck wrapping knobs thusfar, but I think having the boot on there to help pull it tight might be better. I can give you my address if you wanted to ship one over, but I can't promise anything other than that I'll pull it apart and give it a shot.
