looks like the standard width will easily cover a 17x10 with 255 in the rear but do you think they can cover 17x10 255 et10-20 ish in the front for a square track setup?

You know I'm always asking the backspacing question but I think I should start adding what exact brand/size of tire is he running. Could you help me out?

I tried to get a few better pictures to capture overall fitment, maybe a rundown list of specs and then the pictures would be a good way to run this!

could you clarify why the drastic difference in offset front to rear?

Sure, to start my wheels came as 17x10 et20.

17x10 et5 is the most offset I think you'd be able to get away with on an e30 in the front, anything more (et10 for example) would have the rim running into the strut. In my specific case the rival's lip protector sticks out just a smidge compared to the wheel so the best I could do would be et2-3 (the number I originally posted in my build thread) I test fit that by stacking up a set of existing 10mm and 8mm spacers I already had on hand. however when I went to order a single spacer to replace the 2 spacers the closest I could find to an 18mm was either 15mm or 20mm not wanting to risk the tire rubbing on the strut I went with 20mm spacers making my front wheels et0.

As for the back being et20? first and foremost I didn't feel like spending another $90 on rear spacers when there are other places I can spend $90 that will make me faster.
I can somewhat easily fit the 8 or 10mm spacers I already own with very minor trimming to the inner lip of the flares (my front flares required shaving the entire inner lip off the flares) However for Autocross (which is my primary use for this car) narrower is almost always better, since I dont need the spacers for clearance issues like I do in the front I'm choosing to run without them, on the street I may still use the 10mm spacers to help even out the look of the car, I'll also likely have the 20mm front spacers machined down in the back to be 17-18mm thick in an effort to help it look less reverse staggered.

the good news is the current front width of my car is approx: 6" narrower than our local hot shoe national competitors SM STi so hopefully I can make up a little time on tight transitional stuff and narrow the gap between him and I (uphill battle I know)
