Very interesting, I'll be keeping this in mind next time I dig in for tb & water pump service. I know this is a tall order, but some dyno comparisons on a stock motor or even mildly modded would really add some value for someone looking for a cam upgrade. Surely someone local to you is looking for a cam & has a healthy motor that'd be a reliable testing subject!

I'm curious about what effect these have on the shape of the powerband. Do these tend to shift the powerband higher up the rev range or do they also add midrange torque? The reason I ask is because I rally-x my car and really need more low-midrange torque than top end power, but if these add both, then I would be interested. Thanks!

                            Sorry I missed your reply.

The 274 cam is great because it provides more top end power without killing much of the low end torque. We've personally only used it in our 2.7L builds (which of course have more torque than the 2.5L) but we absolutely love it. Whenever we actually get the time we'll be doing a before/after dyno on a 2.5L E30 with one of our heads running the 274 camshaft.

                            Thanks!

Well I have a 2.7i in my E28, so I'm in the same boat you guys are. I would love to see a back to back dyno comparison, even if it is on a 2.5. Do you plan on doing any tuning when you put it in, or just do a straight comparison?

I'm not 100% on the answer to that one yet. Likely will be a Turner chip and 17lb injectors though.
