For the gauge face, I use a layered design. The top layer with the design is printed with a high quality color laser printer (gives a better quality black toner than a standard B&W laser printer). The next layer is a sheet of thin plastic for rigidity. And the last layer is finely tuned design printed on transparency paper that keeps the backlighting of the gauge even and consistent (this took quite a few tries to get right since the gauge is only lit from one side, one of the two big bulbs in the cluster). -

I am using this in a 91 318is which I believe has a 7k tach, but if not I do have a tach from a 325i here as well which is 7k.
Will you be PM'ing regarding sending in the tachs? Turnaround time is not really an issue, but how long do you think it will take to ship a unit out after you receive mine?
