I just got back from 2 weeks in Germany. All e30s I found were already stripped. Good lunch on your travels. Ever since they started the umwelt preme which is cash for clunkers. Older cars like the e30 are hard to find.Originally posted by NicademusMy car beats off to that car. :bow:Comment

- My thoughts exactly!
As far as shipping huge stuff - like front valences and the like, the largest standard size that DHL will ship is 120x60x60 (so 3ft 11.75 inches for the longest length) and up to 31.5kg - it's not terribly expensive for this (under 90 Euros) but that size isn't exactly large enough. I know I shipped bigger stuff than that in the past, but I'll have to check the price at a DHL store. They don't really have a chart of all the sizes and prices already made up, so I may ask that if anyone has shipped a valence before they give me a ballpark on the sizes/weight. That would be a lot better than me guessing at dimensions. Depending on the exchange rate, it would be around $125 or so for shipping, plus packaging for the largest size/weight they have listed online. This would probably go up even more with larger/heavier items.
To counter that, shipping on headlights is pretty reasonable though, more like $45 or $50 if memory serves me correctly.
As far as cars being picked clean: this is very common, especially with a car that has been on the road for more than two decades, that being said: I'm here for a year and have access to rental cars, a free train pass for lower Saxony and speak a little German, so I'll be putting put a pretty wide net - not that this means I'll have huge success, but I'll be trying as hard as I can to do so.GregComment
