When I connected the boost sensor the display shows "-4" (bar scale, or was it just "4"...) and if I blow in it as hard as I can it displays 0.0.. Would guess it was supposed to show 0.0 when engine is not running, or at least a little bit more than 0.0 when I blow in it? Is there a calibration procedure?

Another tip to manufacturer: the wire to the touch buttons could be a little bit longer. I wanted a discrete/ hidden look, and underneath the heater panel, just over the storage compartment of the center console there is a "slot" just about perfect for the switch, just use a knife to cut a little room for the wire. Seems like the wire is only long enough for one of the slots above the radio, so if you want to place it somewhere else it needs modifying. (Easy job though).
Just a few inches extra :)

There is an ambient calibration procedure and you can read it here: http://www.veisystems.com/old/docs/I...ons-BOEM-M.pdf

When it refers to 'the button' you would press the corresponding left or right side of the touch switch.

Making the wires longer can be done.

Can you provide pictures of where you plan to install it?

What should the oil temp read when engine is dead cold?

Strange, I replaced my autometer gauges with this one, and just plugged it in and was going to replace the sender when I got the car out of my garage and to my workshop. However, with ignition on it says "HI", but during warm up I suddenly started showing reasonable temperatures.. Oh well, will be replaced in a few days :)

You cannot use different manufacturers senders

Well, I know, but a xx-yyy Ohm sender is a xx-yyy Ohm no matter who made it, and I have the correct one on the shelf ready to be mounted, but since it started reading very reasonable values I thought maybe it was the same kind of sender , which would be great at the "podi" will not fit that great.. But since it says "HI" when it should say "LO" I guess something is wrong ;)

                      Not necessarily.

The sensor could be reverse acting. I deal with sensors on a daily basis, and some manufacturers sensors increase resistence with an increase in temp, some sensors decrease resistence with an increase in temp.

I don't know what you have, or what podi's is looking for, but the sensors are calibrated to the gauge.

I thought it might be reverse, but the temperature was rising during warmup.. That's the strange part..

That, is strange then. I believe if the wire grounds, it will read HI also.

I'd advise installing the correct sender before assuming any issues with the Podi unit.

This is a pic of my setup, on start up.
                              Top right is oil temp.

Never assumed an issue, just asked, because if "hi" was correct I would have done some more research on the senders to check if they where compatible.. Just a question out of curiosity :)
