Not a half bad solution, but would rather only use one hose if at all possible.

Does anyone have a picture of how they mounted the caliper bracket in the rear? I can't tell if it should be mounted towards the top or towards the bottom since the adapter can be flipped 180*. I have to cut the dust shield either way so I'm not sure.Comment

Do You know if the e39 front brake line fits the rear caliper? That should be long enough to reach the caliper without kinking and would not require to use an extra hose.BMWCCA # 482566

That's what I was trying to attempt to find out but have not seemed to find any real info. I was going to try an e39 front brake line. I was also looking for a 90 degree m10x1 brake fitting so that the e39 rear line could possibly be use but could not find the right thread size. I would really like to hear what people are doing with this kit.BMWCCA # 482566

It would be optimal on all builds that are using this kit to have a proper length of hose. It is a shame that the person who originally put the kit together never said anything about this.BMWCCA # 482566

Actually, I believe there was some mention of it buried deep in one of the original threads.
Who's gonna make a batch? There are ~40 kits out there after the new group buy and every single person will need rear lines.Drive it hard. Maintain it well.

I read through the original thread a couple times and if I recall the kit designer used the stock e39 caliper line and threaded his stock line into it. I have sourced my calipers and I can see how this may work. I will post a picture of the caliper and lines from the 528i/530/540.
The E39 line will accept the E30 stock line, but this would not be optimal as the designer stated in his thread. The two rubber lines would be daisy chained and be one long rubber line. I would think this could make for some squishy pedal.Comment

I am sending one of my 528 rear caliper hoses to a company that makes custom braided lines. I will get them to spec the fittings and that way I can order a custom line with the length needed. I figured when I get mine I can take some measurements and spec a proper rear line for the E39 caliper.Comment

5 Lug Kit Blow out sale
I cut my dust shields up at the hard line point so the line can stretch its not ideal but I have to say after doing this setup I would recommend buying new dust shields and modifying them so that they fit right before installing the hubflange, I plan on redoing my rear in a way that has parking brake like stock b/c now I don'tsigpicComment
