You are correct. I recall having this conversation with one of the guys i work with. He is a big RC toy junkie, in his 50s... so passionate about it. Thats exactly what he was saying about bushings.
What I meant is start with aluminum to make a test piece.
I also wonder... Does that bushing go out on a lot of them. I seen the lever of a few cars and it seemed fine? Whats the reason to make one?
Tons of people are looking to add more precision to their shifters. I would replace all my shifter parts with brass if they were available. I think a brass bushing for the lower shifter connection that eliminated the need for the yellow shims could be a cheaper alternative to a DSSR.Comment

Well I did that to my car. All bushings remade by me. But its now so stiff. I haven't driven the car long enough to get used to it. But I will write that idea down.Comment

make a spacer/adapter for the m20-m50 tps sensor. A guy was making em a couple months back, I'd buy one right off the bat since im in need of one.sigpicComment

Could you make this where it only has a single outlet? I'm currently running the coolant pipe completely capped off except I have one hose running to my coolant expansion tank. Just simplifying. The m42 crowd would love this but they may want to have two outlets so they can keep their heater.
I would like something like this in aluminum or brass.

its cosmetic only. I will probably make a kit that includes the fitting to do the bypass. That is if enough interest. Will probably be about 25$
He stopped making them? Sucks. I have a set. I dont have a plasma cutter to make them. For the price he had them for, it was a deal.. I will look into it.Comment

Im back, sorry I took a while... Work, holidays and family...
Finally had a chance to run a test piece and bam! It worked on the first try.
Its functionality looks to be right on. Measurements are good.
What do you guys think about what it looks like? I might change the design as it looks bulky to me, but its not a visible part once everything is installed on the car so I might not matter.
If I get good feedback I will start running a first batch.

Looks good man. How much are you planning to sell for? It looks like it could be a bit thinner, but depending on what stock you're using it might not be worth it.1992 Daihatsu Rocky SE

The sensor area cannot be any thinner because thats how far the sensor will slide down the shaft.
The outer ears could probably be thinner but it would be more machining time and it would work as is.
I tried to address the adjustment holes because I know some ppl online asked about that.
Price to be determined, Considering design/programing, machine time, material, packing and shipping, and that VAC sells one for s14 for $100Last edited by Frankensteined; 01-19-2015, 09:36 AM.Comment
