Wow, I'd like to be positive, but you'd be hard-pressed to squeeze $2,000 worth of parts out of what's left. Everything better be mint on the inside.

Low-mileage M20's are just that, low-mileage M20's. Not much demand for them, especially after the car has been hit that hard. No telling what internals might have been affected by the impact, based on the pic you provided.

Ether-D and others are correct, you'd be lucky if someone wants it for $500. Trailering, storage and teardown are all things taken into consideration by someone buying this. Good luck.

dude. 80k miles or not. that engine is TOAST! I know it will need a new head along with other parts. every panel it toast, interior wasn't worth much to start and now they will be bent. and before you chew me out for not knowing. I've pull engines from less damaged cars and had issues, and have seats from a less damaged car that were all bent up. take the $500 Pick and pull will offer you and just be rid of it. don't rip off un-knowing member.

Just for reference I sold my 1990 325is with 318k miles that was totaled in a front-end collision on craigslist for ~$1,200. I was happy with the amount and the buyer saw it as a bargain because it had many of the parts he needed for his build.

In order to get this asking price I researched every usable part, listed it's average selling price on ebay, etc. That being said I think given that it's a 325i and the collision was pretty bad I would think it's worth far less than $2k.

OP, listen to this guy. He knows exactly what he's talking about. It's worth something, but not 2k. Maybe over 1k if it was a minor accident that bent the frame, but this car got fucked hard.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

I know you're looking to sell the car whole for the time being, but if you change your mind about parting it and want to do that again I'm in Raleigh and have a few things I'm looking to pick up. Just got myself a 325e and I'm looking for some local parts.

I parted an M20 car with similar damage and the engine was a complete loss. Block broken, all accessories destroyed, even the cyl head had a little fixable damage. Betting yours isn't any good. However, I parted an M50 swapped car that rolled 2-3 times and the motor was left perfectly untouched...and it didn't even have a skid plate.

That is a $500 car tops if the interior is clean. GLWS
