The 772 valance is the one most folks with diving board cars want. It's just about impossible to get in the US even from BMW, even with a euro VIN title needed to place the order. You give BmW your money and they ship you a US diving board valance with a euro part number sticker. So if CEP has one available and they insist it's OEM (which they do), then buy it before they're all gone.

Once you receive you'll see the bottom of it doesn't mount to the rad support like the one you first received. Sorry you had to find out the hard way but there are certainly folks that will buy it. Good luck and please post pics once you gets the new valance!

    Euro Valance fitment

Ok, so now I see on CEP store they have the correct valance I needed.

If any of you guys here like to buy my early euro valance I'm happy to sell it to you at good price (it's been painted cirrusblau). I will just modify my us valance and be done with it. Lesson learned.

    Thanks!

    Euro Valance fitment

Here are some pictures of the euro valance like requested.

I'm not trying to confuse anyone, sorry about that. I may not have enough knowledge about the valance. I know that there were two distinct kinds made for these cars for early model. However when I purchased this particular valance from Classic Euro Parts, first they didn't have in stock the smaller kind that I think may fit my specific car. I made sure to ask seller a question on eBay messenger for fitment giving specific year and model of my car (1987 E300 325i US spec). He told me that this euro valance will fit just right. So, I was just going off of the information given.

    Thanks all for your feedback.

Exactly. Post pics. These guys sell both the 83-85 1 piece euro (angles in) and the 85-87 flat euro valance. There's a 2 piece early euro as well, where the strip above the bumper is a separate component

    This.

There is two distinctly different Euro metal valances, and anything that is designed for one (Alpina, Hartge, M-tech, Jimmy Hill Lip..etc.) WILL NOT work on the other. At all.

Also it looks like it's not meant for cats with ac or at least my ac radiator is on the way. My us spec valance also has two extensions sticking out of it that are factory welded to it that connect to the frame and there are holes to screw it. Nothing like that appears on the "euro" piece. Bummer, because even if there is a way to force the euro valance to fit there would still have to be a lot of cutting g and welding done. I was under the impression it should fit any model, even after restyling models, so I fear it is just a defective piece. Very disappointed, now have to just cut out my us spec valance to make space for fog lights. Also, original valance overall seems more sturdy. So if any of you had dealt with this issue please advise.

On a positive side M Tech 1 front cover fits ok. It aligned just right and I can pretty much confirm that "plastiflex" is pretty flexible:) Had to bend parts of the skirt pretty hard without problems. Holes drill well too, definitely much better than regular fiberglass. I should finish putting together my bumper and polish everything and then will post photos of the completed bumper.
    Thanks 🙏
Great info on the "euro valance" It looks like another product CEP will have to take back to the drawing board. Glad the front valance fit well. We all have had good luck with it as well. now for the mtech 1 side skirts....

Hope you have better luck with the side skirts. I pretty much found they were unusable, without serious modification.

Just placed an order for a Euro Metal Valance! Will be seriously considering Mtech 1 f/r aprons over the next few months.

I don't think iS skirts will look right with the M tech 1 kit because they are smaller and aren't ribbed like the front/rear. I would get OEM m tech 1 skirts, the kind that have the fender arches on ends (if you prefer that look).

yeah, agreed. Those gaps are unacceptable.

I guess im buying the OEM is skirts. I wondering how the mtech 1 bumpers will look like with "is" skirts. we shall see!

For anyone else, my mtech 1 side skirts from CEP are for sale.
